Marketers, under the auspices of National Institute of Marketers of Nigeria, NINM are set to explore how marketing can be a force for enduring value for brands and future generations as environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations become central to sustainable business strategy.

The event with the theme: ‘Leveraging ESG in driving value across generations’ and organized by National Institute of Marketers of Nigeria, NINM in in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state from June 19 this year promises to bring together thought leaders, industry professionals, academia, and marketing practitioners to explore the evolving role of marketing in a purpose-driven world.

Speaking to journalists recently on the conference, Pat Sado, the institute’s Registrar and Secretary to Council, said the theme reflects NIMN shared commitment to aligning marketing with responsible innovation, digital transformation, and long-term societal impact.

According to her, the conference will feature keynote speakers, panelists, and valuable networking opportunities, providing attendees with insights and practical strategies for aligning marketing with responsible innovation, digital transformation, and long-term societal impact.

She said conference will also offer NIMN members the opportunity to review the Institute’s progress and shape its direction.

“As a professional body that regulates the marketing profession in Nigeria, backed by Act Number 25 of 2003. NIMN remains steadfast in its mission to uphold ethical standards, build capacity, and promote excellence. We are confident that this year’s event will reinforce these values while positioning the Institute as a catalyst for transformation in the marketing landscape”, she said.

In his remarks, Jelly Efedi, Chairman, Events and Conference Committee of the National Institute explained that the conference promises to be a significant gathering, offering attendees a unique opportunity to engage with industry professionals, thought leaders, and policymakers.
