In the second quarter (Q2) to June 30, Cardinalstone Securities Limited, EFG Hermes Nigeria Limited, Cordros Securities Limited and seven other stockbroking firms traded equities worth N1.11trillion.
The record value of transactions in the Q2 period represents 56.60 percent of the total value of stocks traded on the NGX in the review period, according to the NGX Broker Performance Report.

Specifically, CardinalStone Securities Limited accounted for equities trading value at N256.495billion, representing 13.06 percent of the total value of trade on the NGX in the review period. EFG Hermes Nigeria Limited accounted for N161.146 billion or 8.21 percent, while Cordros Securities Limited traded stocks worth N157.993billion or 8.05 percent.
Further checks show that United Capital Securities Limited traded equities worth N136.474billion in Q2’2025, representing 6.95 percent of the total value of stocks traded on the NGX same period.
Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited followed with stocks deal worth N103.164billion in Q2’25 or 5.25 percent.
Other top stockbroking firms by value are: Meristem Stockbrokers Limited (N83.653billion or 4.26 percent); CSL Stockbrokers Limited (N61.529billion or 3.13 percent); Vetiva Capital Management Limited (N54.068billion or 2.75 percent); Coronation Securities Limited (N52.314billion or 2.66 percent); and First Securities Brokers Limited (N44.730billion or 2.28 percent).
