Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have reportedly turned their attention to Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface as a replacement for Victor Osimhen.
According to Turkish media reports, Galatasaray have submitted a formal offer for Boniface, who is said to be open to the move.
Osimhen, who signed with Napoli, recently completed a remarkable loan spell at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions. His heroics helped the Istanbul giants secure the Turkish Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup.

Despite his sensational season, Galatasaray were unable to meet Osimhen’s €75 million release clause to sign him permanently. The Nigerian striker is now on the verge of joining Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.
In response, Galatasaray have shifted focus to Osimhen’s close friend and Super Eagles teammate, Boniface, who currently plays for Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.
The 24-year-old had a strong start to the 2024/25 season, but a thigh injury in late November sidelined him for several weeks. He has since struggled to reclaim a consistent starting role.
Nonetheless, Boniface managed to score 11 goals and provide two assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
Reports suggest Galatasaray are keen to secure the Nigerian striker and that Boniface is enthusiastic about the potential move to Türkiye as he seeks more playing time ahead of a crucial international season.
