AC Milan have reportedly entered the race to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as the Rossoneri aim to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Serie A season.
According to Italian outlet AreaNapoli, AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has identified Osimhen as a key target in his plans to rejuvenate a Milan side that finished a disappointing eighth in the 2024/25 Serie A season, missing out on qualification for all European competitions.

Osimhen, who recently completed a prolific loan spell at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals and registered eight assists, has become one of the most sought-after forwards in world football.
Despite receiving a massive offer from the Saudi Arabian side, Al-Hilal, the Super Eagles star opted to remain in Europe, underlining his desire to compete at the highest level.
The 26-year-old Napoli striker has already attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea, while Juventus have also reportedly made initial contact with Napoli.
Now, AC Milan have joined the pursuit, with Italian journalist Ciro Venerato revealing on Rai 2 that the Rossoneri are exploring the possibility of landing Osimhen.
“Milan are looking for two important strikers. The news is that Victor Osimhen’s name is also there,” Venerato said.
“The relationship with Napoli is excellent; even in the league, Furlani and De Laurentiis have common positions.”
However, the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s Napoli contract is only valid for foreign clubs, making any move within Italy more complicated.
As the summer transfer window heats up, AC Milan’s entry into the race for Osimhen signals serious intent to return to Europe’s elite, and the signing of the prolific Nigerian could be the first major step in that direction.
