Barcelona sporting director Deco has confirmed the club’s admiration for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and Liverpool winger Luis Diaz as the Catalan giants assess attacking reinforcements ahead of next season.
Speaking to Catalan radio station RAC1, Deco confirmed ongoing scouting of top-tier talent and revealed that both Premier League stars are on the club’s radar.
“We like Luis Diaz, we like Marcus Rashford, and we like other players,” Deco said.

“When we go to the market, there are names that we know, and that could improve the team.”
Recent reports from Spain have linked Colombia international Diaz with a summer move to the Camp Nou, though Liverpool are not expected to entertain offers, with two years still remaining on his contract.
Rashford, however, could be available for a reported £40 million, having struggled for form at Manchester United. The England international, who was previously linked with Barcelona in January, ultimately joined Aston Villa on loan for the second half of the season.
Barcelona recently secured manager Hansi Flick on a new contract following their La Liga title triumph, and Deco emphasised that the club’s main focus will first be on securing key contract renewals before launching into the transfer market.
“Our big priority is to strengthen what we have at home with the renewals of Pedri, Gavi, Araujo, Raphinha, and Kounde,” Deco explained.
“I understand that when people speak about signings, they always think about players coming from abroad, but for me, renewals are also signings. Lamine (Yamal) renewing is the best signing in history.”
