Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal has signed a new six-year contract with the club, extending his stay at the Camp Nou until 2031 following a standout season that saw the Catalan giants clinch a domestic treble.
The 17-year-old winger played a pivotal role in helping Barcelona secure the La Liga title, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup and is now being rewarded with a long-term deal that reportedly places him among the club’s highest earners.

“Barcelona and Lamine Yamal have reached a deal to extend his contract to June 30, 2031,” the club announced in an official statement.
“Lamine Yamal’s renewal is a demonstration of the solidity of Barça’s project. His emergence on the world football scene is like few others, and it began with his debut on April 29, 2023, at just 15 years old.”
Yamal, a product of the club’s famed La Masia academy and often compared to Lionel Messi, enjoyed a sensational 2023–24 campaign. Fresh off winning Euro 2024 with Spain, he registered 18 goals and 25 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions.
Operating primarily on the right wing, Yamal dazzled fans with his blistering pace, close control, and vision, attributes that contributed to Barcelona scoring 102 league goals and reclaiming the title from arch-rivals Real Madrid.
Despite Barcelona’s Champions League exit in the semi-finals, losing 7-6 on aggregate to Inter Milan, Yamal’s performances over both legs were widely praised.
“I will keep my promise, and I will bring the Champions League trophy to Barcelona. We will not stop until we get it,” Yamal vowed after the match.
