As financial literacy becomes increasingly important, Zikoko, a youth focus digital media platorform is set to hold its inaugural personal finance conference to drive conversations on building sustainable wealth.
The conference tagged ‘The Naira Life’
aims to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration, helping attendees navigate the complex world of personal finance.
Zikoko, widely known for its vibrant African youth culture content, is transitioning its popular #NairaLife series from an online feature to a physical gathering, marking a new phase in its financial literacy advocacy.
Toheeb Lanlehin, Zikoko’s in-house money columnist, said the platform had spent years simplifying complex money conversations for the average Nigerian.
He explained that the upcoming conference would unite everyone from side hustlers to seasoned investors under one roof to share practical strategies for achieving financial freedom.
The event, scheduled to hold August 8, 2025, in Lekki, Lagos, is expected to bring together young professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, and thought leaders for robust conversations around money, career growth, and building sustainable wealth.
The one-day conference will feature four main content tracks focused on different stages of the financial journey.
These include personal finance, which will cover budgeting, saving, and daily money decisions; balance sheet, which will address running a business in Nigeria with emphasis on funding and cash flow management; building wealth, which will offer insights on investing in stocks, real estate, crypto, and alternative assets; and career growth, which will explore job search tactics, skill development, and career advancement strategies.
In addition to the main sessions, the conference will host interactive money clinics, hands-on workshops, panel discussions with industry leaders, and structured networking sessions aimed at connecting participants with peers, mentors, and potential investors.
The event is open to all Nigerians who are either looking to take control of their finances or scale their professional journey, according to the organisers.
