What actually can make a teenaged girl who is just graduating from secondary school say with all certainty and boldness that she can now face the world.

For Anita Chidinma Ihediohanma, the 2025 valedictorian at the graduation ceremony of Showers International Christian High School at its Woji campus in PH, by what Showers has put in her, she thinks she has every confidence to face the world.

The reason may not be far-fetched. Showers runs highly acclaimed ‘zero-fraud’ system where from internal to all external examinations, cheating is not an option. WAEC is their witness because the founder of the school once reported a set to WAEC and the paper was cancelled. “Nobody messes with Mrs Ekama (Emilia Akpan)’, the students chorus.

Anita studied elsewhere before transferring to Showers, and the difference became very clear. Now, she testifies; “I feel excited because this is the second time am getting to this point. I had some issues last year, so God has given me another opportunity to get to this point.

“My perception of Showers: Showers is a Christian school. My experience is wonderful because I have known God for myself. I have realized that life is not all about studying and passing but to have character. Showers school has taught most of us that character is very important.

“Our teachers have been great, they made sure you understand. They are not done by just teaching you but to be sure you understood it. I really thank God for this aspect. In my former school, it was not like that. Here, it is their duty that you understood and that you passed in star levels. I would send my child to Showers, if the money is available.

“I am now ready to face the world because of what Showers put in. I was scared before but with my experience in Showers, I have all the confidence to go into the world.

“Advice to others: I will advise them to mix academics with character. Do not have below average in character.

“Madam Showers may be tough but not wicked, but it is for good reason. It may hurt but know it is for your own good. Pick the lesson in it, not to pick offence.”
