Consumer tech multinational Xiaomi revealed a nifty battery-powered camping lantern in China back in March, with a mini lamp and torch module that could be popped out of its head. Now the 2-in-1 has been released globally.

China's consumer technology giant Xiaomi has unleashed the second iteration of its robot pooch. The CyberDog 2 looks much less business-like and more like a family companion, comes packed with sensors, and can still do back flips.

Late last year, Chinese consumer electronics brand Xiaomi cemented its relationship with Leica when the company launched the camera-focused 13 Series smartphones. Now the 13 Ultra joins the pack to take the flagship spot.

Xiaomi has pulled back the curtain on a pair of augmented-reality glasses it's working on called the Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition, which are reported to be among the first in the industry to boast "Retina-level" image resolution.

Xiaomi joined forces with imaging titan Leica last year for the 12S Ultra flagship smartphone, and now the company has repeated the formula for the 13 Series, which is also one of the first to be powered by Qualcomm's latest mobile chipset.

Xiaomi snuggled up with Leica back in June for the launch of the 12S Ultra smartphone featuring a 1-inch-type image sensor and Summicron optics. Now the companies have partnered again on a concept version with a lens adapter for mounting Leica glass.

Earlier this year, Samsung treated us to the kind of image madness we could expect from its new 200-megapixel camera sensor. The honors for the first phone to feature such a monster went to Motorola, and now Xiaomi has joined the 200-MP party.

Xiaomi has given smartphone photography a boost with the launch of the 12 Pro flagship, which includes a main 50-MP camera module that's built around Sony's large IMX707 sensor for the promise of improved low-light snaps.
