Sunbeth Energies Limited has signed a major distribution agreement with Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals, making it one of the few downstream firms with direct access to refined petroleum products from the new refinery.

The deal, announced Thursday, will see Sunbeth Energies distribute products refined by Dangote across its service stations nationwide, a move expected to ease supply chain inefficiencies, improve fuel availability, and strengthen consumer confidence.

“This partnership with Dangote Refinery is not just a deal, it’s a signal. It signals our continued drive to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s energy security and long-term economic value,” said Lateef Abioye, managing director of Sunbeth Energies.

The agreement marks a significant milestone for Sunbeth Energies, which has been in operation for just under two years. In that time, the company has grown into a major supplier of petroleum products and is increasingly seen as a rising player in the country’s downstream sector.

“At Sunbeth Energies, we are building for the future, a resilient and responsive supply system that delivers with consistency, earns trust, and serves both industries and communities nationwide,” Abioye added.

Victoria Awoniyi, head of retail sales at Sunbeth Energies, said the partnership would support the company’s ability to serve the market at scale.

“It expands the flexibility of our supply network and supports our ongoing efforts to deliver timely, dependable energy solutions to customers across Nigeria. As we grow, partnerships like this help us stay responsive to shifting market demands while staying true to our commitment to excellence in service and delivery,” she said.

As Nigeria strengthens its focus on local refining and economic self-sufficiency, this partnership represents a significant step toward greater energy resilience, enhanced market competitiveness, and a more robust domestic value chain.
