AC Milan have reportedly opened negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen over the potential signing of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rossoneri are in the market for a new striker ahead of the 2025/26 season and view Boniface as a key target.

While Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic is also on their radar, Victor Boniface may be the more financially viable option for Milan, with a valuation between €30 and €40 million.

Boniface, 24, made a strong impression in the 2024/25 campaign, scoring 11 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions, including a goal against Milan in the UEFA Champions League, a performance that reportedly caught the attention of the Serie A giants.

Despite battling injuries that sidelined him for portions of the season, Boniface remains a highly rated prospect in Europe. He joined Leverkusen from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023 and still has three years left on his current contract.

Milan are said to be monitoring his fitness situation closely but remain keen, knowing the forward was close to a move to Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr during the last winter transfer window before the deal collapsed.

While Boniface is open to a new challenge this summer, Milan are also exploring alternative targets as they look to strengthen their attacking options under new manager Paulo Fonseca.
